Accessible Showers

Accessibility starts with the entry. A low or zero threshold, a wide opening and enough floor space to turn around or bring in a mobility aid make a big difference. From there we add the features that suit you: a fold-down or built-in seat, grab bars where you reach for support, a handheld shower on a slide bar and controls placed within easy reach.

We build accessible showers across Nashville and Middle Tennessee for owners, family caregivers and property managers, and we plan each one around the person who will use it. We follow accessibility guidance where it applies and talk through the options with you or with your therapist.

FAQ

Common questions about accessible showers

Can I work with my therapist on the design?

Yes. We are glad to review a therapist's recommendations and build around them.

Will an accessible shower look clinical?

No. Accessible showers can be as stylish as any other, with tile, glass and good fixtures.

Do I need a bench?

Not always, but many people find a seat helpful. We place one if it suits you.
